Who can apply

• Grants page, verbatim: "Milestone Foundation are currently accepting grant applications from organisations from within the Auckland Region and Waikato Region."
• Grant FAQ's, verbatim: "Any Charitable Organisations that furthers or improves local and national educational services, furthers or improves local and national amateur sport, promotes the advancement of culture or religion or contributes toward welfare assistance or the relief of poverty."
• Application form, Type of Organisation tick-boxes: Sport / Education / Community / Health
• Amateur sporting groups, must prove "current affiliation to a national or regional body" and supply "Copy of Rules/Code of Conduct or Constitution"
• Charitable trusts, must supply "Certificate of Incorporation and/or Trust Deed and Proof of Not-for-Profit Status" and a "Charities Registered Number"
• Other organisations, must supply "Proof of Not-for-Profit status (e.g. IRD tax exemption certificate)"; schools must add "endorsement from the Principal on School letterhead"
• Authorised Purpose, verbatim: "Priority funding will be given to education, health and matters that promote and support the Asian culture."

• Community, sport and welfare costs under the Gambling Act authorised purposes
• Items bought against quotes
• Salary and wage costs, against the funder's declaration

• At least TWO competitive quotes per funded item, "Quotes must be less than 3 months old, be addressed to the applicant group and contain full supplier details (name, address, telephone, gst status, on letterhead, etc) and must show the GST exclusive amount". • Signed committee/executive meeting minutes on the organisation's letterhead, with full names of all committee members and an approved resolution naming the purpose and amount, "certified as true & correct and signed by the Secretary/Chairperson or other executive member".
