• Organisations whose application "fits within the Authorised Purpose of Constellation Communities Trust Ltd" (funder wording, /grants)
• Amateur sport clubs, the funder names football/soccer, rugby, netball, athletics, swimming, table tennis, badminton, kabaddi, cricket, hockey, basketball and volleyball as "the amateur sports supported" (/authorised-purpose-1)
• Organisations running "educational, cultural, health, environmental, recreational or philanthropic activities provided all those activities are conducted for charitable purposes"
• Priority: "amateur sport where the applicant is based in the same region where Constellation Communities Trust has venues and where there is a high level of public participation"
• Priority: "non-professional community health and wellbeing and educational activities operated by the AUT Millennium and North Sport Academy"
• Religious bodies, "religion, including capital and running costs for gurdwaras and other places of worship" (/authorised-purpose-1)
• An incorporated non-profit is the expected shape: "Organisation Incorporation Number" is a required form field and applicants must "Enclose a copy of your certificate of incorporation"
• The Trust states it "wishes to make grants that reflect and recognise the ethnic composition of New Zealand and in particular, the ethnic composition of Auckland" and specifically acknowledges the Chinese and Indian communities
